Abstract
Single-layer organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) have attracted considerable attention as a promising alternative to conventional multilayer OLEDs because of their simplified architecture, reduced fabrication cost, and improved manufacture. However, achieving efficient charge injection, balanced charge transport, and high electroluminescence efficiency within a single emitting layer remains a major challenge. In this work, novel donor–π–acceptor–π–donor (D–π–A–π–D) molecular architecture of OLED emitters were designed, synthesized, and comprehensively investigated for application in single-layer OLED.
