Bis(tetracyanoselenophenoanthraquinodimethane) as electron acceptor for organic solar cells and photomultiplication-type organic photodetectors

Submitted: Jun 29, 2026

Abstract

We synthesized a molecule in which two selenophene-fused TCAQ moieties are linked by a fluorene bridge (STCAQ). The performance of STCAQ in solar cells similarly to thieno-fused TCAQ. We fabricated organic photodetectors with traditional ITO/PEDOT:PSS/active layer/PFN/Field metal architecture. The active layer was PDBT-T/STCAQ BHJ. Photomultiplication under reverse bias was observed not only for low acceptor content (5%), but also for 1:1 PBDP-T/ STCAQ ratio.
