Abstract
Effect of the spatially correlated exponential random energy landscape on the bimolecular recombination of carriers is considered. There are indications this kind of energy landscape could exist in some amorphous organic semiconductors. We calculate the dependence of the recombination rate constant on temperature and density of carriers for actual examples of the random energy correlation function. We also consider the possibility to discriminate the suggested mechanism from other cases of the nontrivial dependence of rate constant on density of carriers.
